GILBERT, Ariz. - A total of 48 student-athletes representing 33 different schools were selected to the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-American Team announced on Wednesday.
The squad consisted of 28 seniors, 15 juniors, four sophomores and a freshman. Middlebury, Messiah, The College of New Jersey and SUNY Cortland all had three student-athletes on the All-American Team, while schools with two honorees included MIT, Babson, Kean, Centre, Tufts, Salisbury and Franklin & Marshall.
Messiah's Carissa Gehman made the All-American squad for the fourth time, while Trinity's Kelcie Finn and William Smith's Hannah Wood each became three-time honorees. Making the All-American squad for the second time were Babson's Ashley Tango and Lauren Drakeley, Middlebury's Grace Jennings, MIT's Emily Penn, St. John Fisher's Emily Markarian, Gwynedd Mercy's Melisa Russo and Tufts' Mary Travers.
