GILBERT, Ariz. — From February 1, 2019 until March 31, 2019, club coaches can register to be members of the NFHCA. While rare, special member drives do occur when the organization starts a new awards program such as the Club Player of the Month program.
The Club Player of the Month program is an evolution of the High School Player of the Month award which premiered this fall. The NFHCA wanted to recognize the incredible performances of club athletes, whose playing opportunities have expanded exponentially. In the fall, the NFHCA recognized High School Players of the Month from each nominating state in September, October and November. In the spring, the NFHCA will recognize one athlete from each nominating state in January, February, March, April, June and July. Club coaches will be permitted to nominate athletes for the award each month using statistics, accolades and performance descriptions from that month only.
The addition of the Club Player of the Month program extends the benefits of a club coach membership and is the first award that is targeted specifically for club coaches.
The nomination period for the January Club Player of the Month will open on February 4 and will close on February 10.
